Mpeg2/DVD encoder Plugin

    I posted earlier, but cannot find answer. Is this normal why is my DVD with MOV files and Slide shows Burns as a Mpeg 1? I have the plugin installed too, cannot figuare this out.

    Even if you get the mpeg2 to work in Nero chances are if you try to burn an SVCD it will make a gigantic mpeg2 or Vob file as if for DVD. You are prolly better off to do your conversions with other software and then just burn with Nero. I've been using TMPGEnc Plus for a few years and it works well with a lot of freeware apps. So even though you have to pay for it, it's down to like $37 now so it's a bargain. For SVCD I convert to mpeg2 with TMPGEnc Plus and if I want to add chapters, I do it with VCDEasy 1.1.5.2 freeware and just burn the cue/bin file with Nero Buring ROM.

    Likewise if it's DVD I'll make either an .iso image or a VIDEO_TS folder with other software and just burn the DVD Video with Nero Burning ROM. It's a lot less mysterious than trying to figure out what Nero will do when it decides to convert some files. :)
