I have a pc that currently ran win-98. Well, it was all screwed up so I wanted to either reinstall or put a new OS on it. Its an old ibm aptiva with 48 mb ram and a less than 1 gig HD. Will I be able to install the latest version of linux on it? If I can how do I do it? I made a win 98 bootdisk and cleared my HD so when it boots up it takes me to a command proumt thing or when I have the bootdisk in it takes me to that thing A:/ How do I put linux on? Do I just need to make an installation cd?

If this isnt in the right fourm.....MODS PLEASE MOVE IT

    THANKS GUYS@!@!@
