Alternative to ADVDINFO?

Does anyone know of another tool that will give me the info off a DVD-R? I cant get ADVDInfo to work. My home player (Toshiva SD-9000) is VERY fussy about what discs it will play so I need to be able to isolate manufacturers and find out what combination it will accept. Many thanks.

I think Nero gives you some info about the blank media as well, might hand out even the manufacturer IDs.
