Help Me please,unknown error

ok, so i just bought flatout.i was playing and then it froze,i took it out, and then it was frozen at menu, so i shut it down for a while then i turned it on, in the menu it was very laggy, eventually it had an error message that said your xbox requires service, it had no error number,someone plz help

 

Does it still tell you to service it when you play another game? If not, return flatout for another copy.

 

no, i mean the main menu was lagging, wen u first turn on the xbox,it then gives me the service thing,i am so confused

 

tricky. How old is your xbox. Do you know the version. Did you modify it at all?

 

no,i did not modify it at all and got it on october of 2002

 

funny thing is,today the disk tray didnt open,y is noone else besides u and me here,did they read my sig?lol

 

.............it keeps getting worse,wtf,i have to hold the power button for it to turn on,im just gonna sell it fro 50 if noone ca help me

maybe the motherboard somehow fucked up and you need a new one but not sure

maybe something in your xbox burned out or is messed up

i took it apart so i found the problem,the thompson dvd reader drive thing melted,so i mite buy a new one or w8 for xbox 360
