I have been using the Nero 6.0 for a long while with my burner and encountered no problems... until now. I can't recall what i did, but now whenever i tried to burn a CD-R, it will start burning and at some random percentage, i get this blue screen saying some invalid page thingy violation... and then starts dumping psyhical memory. Either that or the computer just restarts itself automatically. the best this is, no log is created because the system just "crashed" all of a sudden. i tried using the updated 6.6ver and still the problem persist. even when i shut down whatever background progams running, anti-virus, firewall etc... still doesnt. work. there was one point where i was only given the option to burn at a speed of 8x... i tried it and it was about to end of successful, at about 97%... that blue screen comes out again. I'm using a AMD 750 Duron with 512MB memory, running 2 hard disk and the 52x cd burner as my only cd player unit. and i'm running XP Pro, w/o the SP packages as my computer seems to always 'crash' while trying to install those. the only way that i could produce a log was to burn a cd and abort it soon after. here's the log, hope anyone of you guys can help me solve this problem before crazy and dreading to buy another burner unit when i'm out of $.

@tomsss - try updating the firmware on the burner and see if it helps, there may well be some problem external to Nero, but i'm just working from the logfile here for now.. -

    - your firmware is date of date, 1.04 is here - ftp://ftp.aopen.com/pub/firmware/cdrw/crw5232aaopro/crw5232aaopro_r104.exe - or here - http://forum.rpc1.org/dl_firmware.php?download_id=1982

    - if updating the firmware doesn't solve the proble, try different media

    - splat!
