Not sure if this is the right place for this, but couldn't find anywhere else. Which brand of DVD burner is better HP or BenQ?
Hello.. I Have A BenQ And as I Understand How To Use It, And The Lightscribe Part,I`m Liking It A Lot. Software Needs Work IMO.
Wrong forum,but I can help.I've got both the hp 460c lightscribe and 2 benq 1620s. No doubt the benq kicks hp's ass! It's all about the compatability. I got that hp 460c on my new pc last month. After 3 coasters on taiyo yuden and hitachi media in 4 days,I pulled that sucker out and put in my original benq 1620 with well over 1000+ burns. Both my benq's combined for only 1 burn coaster this year on 3 different pcs! Compatability: I booktype my plus format media to dvd-rom and those backup discs play everywhere from those benqs. Excellent compatability on stand alone players/pc drives/and ps2s. That hp had a harder time playing in certain stand alones but the main thing, I could not re-rip the few backups I did with it.I have no trouble re-ripping my benq backups-even on the fly. Benq 1620 at newegg.com for under $50 including fed ex. Benq 1625- Has the lightscribe Benq 1640 also has the lightscribe.
