Codec questions..

    Im wondering...Im hearing all this talk about conflicting codecs. I recently downloaded gspot. an I had 185 codecs come up. is this normal? and how would I know if I have conflicting codecs?

    If you have conflicting codecs, then you will definitely know. Conflicting codecs cause problems in video playback mostly, such as skipping, everything is a shade of green, or just plain not working. If you have no problems then there's nothing to worry about.

    I read the sticky on how to manually download codecs. I found some of the ones listed deleted them along with other packages that Ihad installed. I then downloaded k-lite mega codecs and it worked great. thanks for the help. thisd site is great!

    DivX
    XviD
    AC3Filter
    FFDShow
    & no problems playing files
