recently i downloaded an application which came in the form of a bunch of files and a SFV. since this was originally a cd, how would i coile these files and burn so that it would boot as the original?
This is a split file, I suppose. You should try to merge them again (there is some software that should do the job on the net, I will suggest you one). The .SFV contains filenames and checksums. Read http://www.therudeone.com/ftp/applications/easy_sfv_creator/faq.htm to learn about split files, and load the application from their Home page.
