Alright guys, i'm a newbie at this and not sure why im getting these errors. First of all I followed a guide to convert my avi file to mpeg-2. Then I used IFOEdit to get the BUP/IFO/VOB files. So this is the problem, I open Nero burning rom and create a new compilation, then I right click video_ts and extract the files into this folder and start to burn. Now, everything starts alright, then about 10 seconds into it i get a failure message, "PMA update failure" I have no idea what this means or what I should do to fix it. This is the first time i've tried to burn anything to DVD guys, so i'd appreciate it if you give me some help. @zorzorme - - that's way old, latest is 6.6.0.16 - is your drive a proper NEC drive or a rebadged drive. Did the drive come with the PC, if so, what make PC is it ? - yup, your Nero is too old to properly recognise your burner. Update Nero from here - http://www.nero.com/en/update_nero6.php?pak=1 - rewritables seem to be more forgiving than write once media, but maybe this rewritable isn't very good quality. - your drive's having a problem with that media - try different media, i think this error is just a symptom of other problems
