Nero Recode Low Volume MP4s

Converting movies from DVD to MP4s using DVD Shrink / Nero Recode 2 (latest build). The volume level in the end result MP4 files are considerably lower than what the original source disk was. No matter what I play the file on (laptop, PocketPC, Media PC, etc) the hardware volume has to be almost double of what it is with the original disk to obtain a similar audio level.

Does anyone have any idea how to boost the volume in the MP4? Thanks!
