My dvd burner refuses to burn completely and says it is unable to create the disc structure. I've tried solving this problem for ages now and was told to update the firmware which I did but I still have the same problem. What else can eb the problem and what can I do? - not too bad, latest is 6.6.0.15 - this isn't too bad, but for info, free up more memory prior to burns - burner is having problem with that disc - i've asked some of the guys to advise on these particular Sony discs as they crop up a fair bit in problem posts & i don't personally know what they're like - http://forums.afterdawn.com/thread_view.cfm/218906 - splat!

(creaky slaps himself with a wet fish). there wasn't much else in the logfile to sort out, so hopefully the media will do the trick (even though the Sony D11 should be ok. you can always try Verbatim [bold]datalifeplus[/bold] also
Ok, so I found a pack of Verbatim's but I wanted to ask about them first before I break the seal. They are Verbatim DVD+R 16x, Advanced Azo+, made in india. Think they will work?

they should be made in taiwan (i think) so would be ok. however i myself have used 8x made in India and they were fine for me (loads of them and have loads of Indians at the moment that i'm working my way thru)
not wanting to sidetrack too much, but it's worth doing - have you tried converting the file with a tool other than nero, ie vso's divxtodvd or something like that, just to rule out nero or media ?
Ok, apparantly the problem must be with Nero Vision Express, because when I used the program you suggested and converted the file before burning it actually worked! Good news, but on the other hand this is much more time consuming, so do you have any idea why vision express doesn't work? thanks for the help though.
