cant see avi no sound also

I have d/led a large avi which i cant see or hear. Do I need a particular codec or encoder to view it?

 

if you use windowxp try this:

nimo codec pack v5 can be downloaded on: http://www.maxxiweb.com/logiciel/fiche/313.php

this is a french website but with this adress you should easily find it no matter the language.

Ok, I tried the Nimo codecs but still having the same problem. I'm wondering what else may help?
