My hard drive fried so I replaced it then i loaded NEW ( 2nd hand O/S )and now I get error message some thing to the affect of the didital ID O/S is XP pro could the problem be the 2nd hand O/S
Possibly the 2nd hand OS ID is being used by the original owner and so when you try using it, it pops up the error because the Id numbers are the same. Just a guess but this is what it sounds like. Jerry
Sounds like a possibility since Microsoft now has there new validation thing in effect. It validates that number and checks the computer. I guess there is a workaround for it, you can do a google on this.
