Ok, i believe I may have discussed this earlier, but do what I say from step one right now. Just try it to see if it works.

1. Open DVD Decrypter
2. Next, go to "Tools" --> "Settings"
3. Then go to "ISO write mode"
4. Open a Microsoft worpad on your computer and click "open" once it is loaded --> make sure at the bottom of the opening window it says "all files"
5. Then, open the .dvd file of your Rainbow six game
6. The layer break should be the top line in the file; highlight, right click, and copy that layer break number. --> next, delete that top line where the layer break was and make the image.000 the top line and then save
7. Now, back to DVD Decrypter --> on the right of the "ISO write mod box", enter the layer break code under the "options" tab and then click "ok"
8. Then on DVD Decrypter where it says "please select a file" click on that and then load the .dvd file and then you should be able to insert the DVD into your burner and all set for burning

That's how I burn mine and should work like a charm. Give it a try.

chk your IDE cable and make sure it's connected snugly...also, chk to make sure the cable isn't damaged.

also, make sure it's using DMA mode, see the section titled Enable DMA on Your Optical Drive on this page:

When it says you can still play on Live, does that mean the games you have bought/rent are playable on Live still, or the actual disk that contain the backed up game is playable on Live?

For all you people getting errors burning, make sure that you are using the right kind of Verbatim media. It happened to a friend I know, he bought a 5 pack of Verbatims but they were 8x and not the normal 2-4. His dvd burner game him errors every time he tried to burn on those disks.

For you people who want to play different region games on the 360, you can't do it unless you have globe360. The reason is because the region code is within the iso and can't be changed without changing the signature and if it is changed it won't work.

AKA Old Map Mods on Xboxlive.

Hi guys,

just bought a 360 and am ready to hack it to pieces. Ive been reading this thread/sticky for a while now, getting ready for the move from ps2 backups to 360 ones.

ive heard that the pioneer 111D is by far the best dual layer burner for the job, but i use a laptop, so an internal drive is not an option unless i get it converted. I currently have an AOPEN DUW1608/ARR external drive which is apparently dual layer, but i dont know if its any good for 360 backups?

Are there any known decent external drives out there? does anyone know if my current drive will do the job?

Cheers guys, keep up the good work!

Try closing out of the program, turning off any firewall or internet security present, and restart the program and run the app again. Should do the trick. Worked for me.

Hey guys, i have a bit of a problem here.

I'm using some rather crappy media because i'm not able to get my hands on Verbs anytime soon. After a few fails i set my writer to X2.4 and it worked fine. I get no errors during burning, everything goes smooth, and it finishes...

And then when i pop it in the 360 it detects it as a movie DVD, and gives me the message "To play this disc, put it in an Xbox 360 console" wtflol?

I used IMGburn, all settings are correct, i've triple-checked everything.
I have a Samsung 360 drive, most forgiving drive there is.
The iso/image is pre-patched.
Though i used some rather crappy DVD's (MCM MAG), even the more expensive ones (RICOH's) didn't work. They burn perfectly fine, but won't run on the box. I get the stupid "put it in an Xbox 360 console".

In the tray-status at dashboard, it says "DVD", so it does read it as a DVD. But it gives me the message that should appear when i try to run a 360 game on a PC.

I'm all out of ideas and options, i only have 5 DL discs left from a friend of mine, and i don't want to waste them invain. Could anyone plz help me out???

What type of firmware are you using on your 360? Also, where are your downloaded games coming from? (assuming they are downloaded and not backups)

Thanks for the reply, i really don't know what to do.

I have the latest NME360 chip. As for my NEC/Optiarc burner, i have the standard firmware. And i have been assured that it should work like a charm.

It's about the Splinter Cell:DA 360 Allstar release. Everyone else commented that it works fine, it's pre-patched and all that needs done is burning.

I have used 'Ridisc' (MCM-MAG, crappy i know, but i have gotten it to write without any errors) and 'Imation' (RICOH, a lot better, have also gotten it to write without any errors whatsoever).

So the burning is successful, i pop it in the 360, and it says 'To play this disc, put it in an Xbox 360 console'. However, i should only get this message when trying to play a 360 game in, let's say, my PC. In the tray-status it does detect it as 'DVD'. I won't have any Verbs til Saturday, but that shouldn't be a problem. If the burning is successful, why do i get this strange message? It shouldn't even be possible, since i'm trying to run 360 media on a 360. I should only get this message on anything other than a 360.

I have another backup from Gears of War (it was burned for me) and this one works perfectly fine.

I'm totally out of ideas/options here, what do i do now?

though they may be forgiving.. samsungs can be spaz's with the wrong media. ;D i recommend trying verbatim discs.. and use CloneCd, instead of imageburn. sometimes it can be something stupid like that.. its worked for me. and if that doesn't work.. pm me and ill send you an alternate burn methods/PDF guide
