I recently purchased this recorder (last spring) and have to say that so far, I am quite happy with it. Good deal on it at Target ($110.00). I used DVD+R and DVD+RW's (Sony) to make a few test recordings and erasures and no problems. Picture and sound quality are good. Not crazy about the remote (tiny) or having to wait a few seconds and choose 'source' before I get tv reception but you take the good with the bad I guess. They had firmware updates at their website as well, that worked without a glitch although their download page for the firmware is a bit confusing. Had to take my time with that part. I also like the fact that I can zoom in while watching a DVD and not get those annoying icons on my tv screen (like 2X or the little square in the corner). My regular DVD Player (Samsung) was very very very picky about playing certain CD's and DVD's. It wouldn't play some of my CyberHome recorded material. I've had problems with the Samsung all along. Replaced that with a Daewoo (also dirt cheap at Target) and everything works great! Will keep you posted if I run into any problems.
I have had same trouble with my Samsung player, as it will only play a "select few" of my DVD's created on my PC. Does your Cyberhome play this type? Also, what is the difference in models ZU, MU, Me? Thanks. Jim, in Farmington
