i mean. i am havig trouble getting files split into smaller sizes so i can get on cd-r,the movies are mpeg 4 and are to many mb's to get on one cd.so,i will get a dvd burner if i know i can put the movies on dvd. do i have to change anything to the files or will they go on the disk in their format right now?i have a divx player and i have two movies that i just burned to cdr. they are ace ventura and waynes world 2.both are under 700mb.i did nothing but send them to d drive then burnt them.they were able to be seen very well other than the resolution was small.it looked like letterbox.

If the player can handle the media then it should work, in fact in some cases it works better since the data transfer is faster.

One thing though, mose players don't like UDF, but if they files are under 2gigs then that isn't an issue.

What software u used? use Nero.

    Burning Data-DVD:

There is no proböame with burning mpeg to dvd (it will work in most players)
If u burn avi then u can check it only with PC. or u have to convert it to dvd-video files...

If u want to make avi files that can be seen with dvd-player:
