Sound files on NeroExpress

I have recorded voices on a digital recorder and have saved them on a CD. When I try to send them as an attachemnt on an email the file is much to big. It was suggested that I change the wav file to a MP3 file. It was also suggested that I use a free application called Audacity to do that. I was hoping Nero Express could do the same thus being esier rather than learning another application.

All help would be aprreciated.
