    how can i record a audio from a VHS tape from a line in that will be an mp3 format that i could burn in CD?i tried the winamp writer but it does not record anything and theres no files at my output directory? is there any software that i could use thats much more easier?

    You connect the VCR to your soundcard input. Then you obtain a software that is capable of line-in recodring (Total Recorder for exp). Record the sound and the if needed further compress to MP3 (using LAME is recommended of course).

    You may wish to use hiss/noise removal techniques before compressing to MP3s, to improve quality.
