New to the scene and for a few months but can't shrink a xvid file onto a DVD-R, are there any programs which I can buy. Your immediate help would be gratefully appreciated. Thank you
You have something that is encoded with XviD and larger than 4.37GB's? Or you meant re-encode something to DVD video?
Here is what I do when I have an ani file to big to put one dvd. I encode the files like I would before I burnt them. But before I burnt them I would open DVDShrink and compress the ifo,buo,etc... Then after that it would be in a image file. Go to you nearest dvd burning program and burn it. Happy Burning FOggydew
Wow, you must be saving the DVD as an uncompressed .avi to end up with that huge a file... Try a program called FairUse 1.2, it automatically reads your DVD and compresses it to be whatever size you choose (700mb on Free edition) get it here: http://www.fairusewizard.com/Release/FU-Setup_LE.exe
http://fairusewizard.com/private/FU-Setup_RC2.exe <-- FU 2 RC2 Not sure if it is the light version or not. http://www.aziendeassociate.it/cd//Misc/Fair_Use1.2.7z copy over light version. Perfectly possible to have an XviD encoded file over 4.3GB's, just not all that common.
