DVD+R ps2 help

I only have a DVD+R/RW burner, however, almost everything i read about backing up ps2 games has got DVD-R media. Will a DVD+R disk work on a ps2 with a modchip that only says DVD-R, or, alternatvly, is there a mod chip that had DVD+R format????
