I recently softmodded my xbox with unleash x. One of the first problems that I noticed was that before my xbox was modded it played commcercial dvd's, burned dvd's and commercial cd's. Now that I since I have modded my xbox no longer plays any of these things (with the addition of burned cd's), it only plays games. When I go to access the file explorer it tells me either the drive is empty, or that the disk is blank (0kb). I managed to get one burned dvd to scan, but it still doesn't play. The same exact thing happens when I use XBMC. I just don't understand why it would change like this. From my understanding it was supposed to read more media, not less. I also have a samsung drive if this helps at all. If anyone has a solution to my problem or at least some ideas I would appreciate it. Thank you.
ok, i just modded a few of my friends xboxes and they are having the same problem that I am having. This has to be somekind of software flaw or some setting I have to change, but I am clueless. I don't know where to go from here. Please help.
hello sarb, i have also had this problem in the past. In order to fix this problem you must purchase an xbox restore disk on the internet. To find this just go to google search engine. What this cd does is reboots your entire xbox to microsoft xbox default. This is a great cd to keep handy because you can keep on screwing up your xbox as much as you want and still be able to fix. Also when you say it wont read cds, just open it up how you open up your other disks.
