I'm trying to join several AVIs using VirtualDub as described in the AfterDawn guide, however when I select the first AVI I get a message saying Virtual Dub has detected an improper VBR audio encoding in the source. It then tells me to decompress the entire audio stream to an uncompressed WAV. how do i do this?? thanks.

Use AVIMuxGUI or VirtualDubMod instead and don't worry about it.
To uncompress the audio, set it to full processing and then save wav.

    Hi!

    Sorry for my poor English.

    Step 1:
Download and run "NanDub" (it´s a variation of VirtualDub)

File > Open video file > Save WAV

    Step 2:
Download and install "dBpowerAMP Music Converter"

Right-click on the WAV file you saved: Convert to > (choose "Wave") > Convert

Step 3: (if you will create a VCD or SVCD)
    Download and run "TMPGEnc"

Video File (Browse) - select the AVI file

Audio File (Browse) - select the WAV file you have converted

In my opinion that process works perfectly.

    Hugs from Brasil,

    Maciel
