After reading several negative comments about peoples experience with this dvd burner I still couldnt help but pick one up from Wal-Mart this past weekend. So far I have nothing but good to say about it, especially for the price, $98.74 here in Missouri. I have burned off approximately 8 movies from my cable input, and all have worked great. Also, when I used to burn with the same discs on my lite-on computer dvd drive (using the same discs) they would not play on my other home dvd units. Using the ILO to burn using the same media they are now playing on my home units. When I picked my recorder out of the piles of them at Wal-Mart I made sure to get one that said "Manufactured June 2005". By the way I am using Memorex DVD+R 16X. I have not tried using the Video inputs for say recording from a VHS or a DVD but I will post as soon as I try.

     ... and a third question:

.. Why would you want to use a 4th rate disc such as Memorex when for less money you can get much better discs?

. ALSO ... here is a site that may be of interest to you .. http://www.techolio.com/forums/phpBB2/viewforum.php?f=7
