I own a Cyberhome DVR1600mu. I have been trying to update firmware. I got the files from www.cyberhome.com. I had success in updating the Front End (step 1-mediatek.iso-4.33mb). However, I cannot update the Back end (step 2-mediatek.iso-2.06mb). I am fairly certain I am doing the process correct since the first update went OK. I am using CD-R discs. (TDK or ACER). The error I am getting when trying to load the second disc it says "unknown disc". However, Disc 1 loads just fine. I have tried the process on several different discs. Customer support at Cyberhome is non-existent.

    Someone please help! Thanks.

After a lot of work I found it, but here it is 1-888-302-2727 This is the number to tech support (the one they don't want thier customers to have) They are only open 8-5 pm Pacific time mon-fri & the customer service folks are basically JERKS. But since they worked so hard at hiding the number I felt it needed to be published.

I am also trying to update my firmware - I have the DVR-1600 MU.

I have tried 5 different brands of CD-R and 1 brand of CD-RW.

The player keeps saying Unknown Disk. I believe I am burning the Disk image properly.. What could be wrong.?
