Need Help Using Universal Remote!!!

Hi,
I have a Coby dvd-505 and I've been trying to program it with my one for all universal remote. The codes they have given me and that I have tried and search for either do not work at all or do not perform the right functions (ie: power button changes tv system, 4 zooms, etc.). I called Coby and asked about it and they say they will not provide help and that their products won't work with a universal. A one for all rep gave me codes which again didn't work correctly and mentioned something about the player frequency being scrambled. Is there any way that I can make it work on my remote?
