amd or p4 for games

    ok i got a question which do i buy i play black hawk down and battlefield 2 i got a p4 3.4 with 2 gigs of ram and a 5900xt graphic card and i'm thinking of getting a amd?
    so which is better a amd 4000+ or what i already got?

    I would say what you have is good anuff, people will say AMD's are a lot better for gaming but i reckon if you got a newer gfx card you would be fine (6600gt maybe, along with 2gb of ram & a 3.4 cpu would be great)

    yea gfx card is the main slowdown here. you will get more benefit from a gfx card upgrade than the cpu upgrade
    but if you got the cash you can't go wrong with the amd 4000

    that new geforce 7 looks the shit and is probably about as much as the amd 4000

    Without a doubt what you have is a good setup, just change the graphics card .... The AMD is better than what you have but if you want to change over your gonna need a new mobo, psu as well as the cpu, so it would work out cheaper if you got a high end AGP card (6800GT/ultra, X850) for your present p.c which is well up to the job :)

    ok :) prolly will just swap the graphic card then
    thought i'd ask cos i'm building a new computer for a customer and i could have used my m/b, chip, and ram in theirs lol
