I have a wi-fi network in my house which is up and running. I have a PDA which is bluetooth enabled and a bluetooth adapter on my laptop. I attempted to access the internet from the PDA but there is constantly a DNS Server error, I can HotSync and access the Bluetooth network just not the internet. What do I do?
i just connect mine up to the computer and i'm online but it's a bit of a pain lol no keyboard and the laptop is so much easier. try using bills activesync instead i only reply so i'd get an email when someone has a good suggestion cos i got bluetooth for mine too, use it for the satnav
how are u connecting to ur laptop? with the usb port? i installed another browser on the pda but still no luck
oh yeah, i keep getting dns server error on the browser so i put in a random primary and secondary dns and now the error chaned to dns request timed out.
yup connected to computer with usb you need to set ip to your compters ip often this is 192.168.0.1 find out by clicking on......... start....run....type cmd /enter type ipconfig it will tell you it's ip
im going through a router so, i have a wireless network with my laptop, which lan card should enable the ics? the bluetooth adapter's ip is 192.168.0.1 and the notebook is 192.168.1.33, i tried to get it through my pda but i keep getting an dns error 8.
