I don't know if this is the right forum or not so please move or delete admin.

I just received a Panasonic DMR-ES10 DVD recorder and having recording issues with using my VCR. Right now my VCR is connected to the IN3 input select and my TV is connected to the IN1 input select. Right now the only way I can record from my VCR is to run from the IN1 input select. When I try to record from the IN3 input select, all I get is a black screen.

To all the people who have the Panasonic DMR-ES10 recorder, what steps in my missing in my recording? I tried change the TV to 'Video' which I usually use for the VCR. But using the IN3 input still doesn't work.

    Thanks

What type of tape in the VCR are you trying to record? A home movie or a store bought tape? If store bought, you'll need a device to get around the copy protection. E-mail me and I'll tell you where I got mine from.

Also, I would be under the impression that you need to hook to the OUTOUT of the DVD recorder to the TV.

The way I do mine, I run from my cable box to the in of my VCR, then out to the DVD recorder, then out to my receiver and then to the TV. From the 2 DVD's I have, to the TV, I used all Component Video cables for best picture.
