I have Nero 6 on my computer and use the Express for copying entire CD's. Other than that I use other programs like Fugi for my digital camers stuff, along with Adobe photoshop 7. When I back-up my DVD's I generally only use Shrink and Decrypter. Why should I use anything else like Nero? It seems more complicated. Any feedback would be appreciated. D
it's horses for courses i guess. i too have Shrink & Decrypter, but only really use Shrink, then i use Nero Burning Rom to burn the actual DVD's created by Shrink. I also use Nero for audio cd's, just habit really. So all in all, i get my money's worth from Nero, i'm using it all the time.. I don't find Nero complicated myself, but then most things don't if you use them all the time..
I too use Nero to back up my CD's but do use Nero Recode to encode and compress and then burn a DVD. Recode is a little faster than Shrink. I was using Shrink because it had quality enhancements, but you do have this feature in Recode if you are willing to go in and edit your Registry. If you use AnyDVD running in the background with Nero Recode you end up with a one click program. No ripping to hard drive with Decrypter. My two cents.
Nero burning suite is sort of like an all-in-one program that let you do many kinds of jobs. It may not be the best for any particular job, but sure comes in handy for people who don't want to work with a whole lot of different programs.
