I got a great quality .avi problem, and I got full version of NeroVision Express but the problem is..... when I slect the file, create the menu, select it to burn to a blank disc in my DVD-RW drive, it starts like "transcoding" and it gets into transcoding like 1/4 of the movie, then it doesn't go anymore, the program is still running, and "Time Remaining" is the same, and it's stuck on the same scene, please help, or can someone ifnd me a good FREE converter to convert avi files to DVD format?

    Thanks

TRY USING NERO VISION TO WRITE IT TO A HARD DRIVE FOLDER AND MAKE SURE THERE IS NOTHING RUNNING IN THE BACKGROUND AND I MEAN NOTHING TURN OFF ALL PROGRAMS IT SHOULD TAKE ABOUT 2-3 HOURS TO DO THEN WATCH IT BEFORE BURNIONG TO DVD.

just use Nero Burning Rom for this as it sounds like the files are in DVD format already. pick 'dvd video' compilation in Burning Rom, drag files to left of screen if you're using 6.6.0.14 or newer -
. If your Burning Rom is older than that you have to select the VIDEO_TS folder on left of screen PRIOR to dragging files over to the left of screen (ie into the VIDEO_TS folder)

cant i just select "Add video files" then click on my "VIDEO_TS" folder, and when I do that, it adds all the dvd formatted video files, then i just burn?

no worries. ps let's have a look at the Nero logfile entry, post LAST section of your Nero log, which is in c:\program files\ahead\nero\nerohistory.log, but DO NOT post your serial number which usually begins with '1A21' or similar
