I recently upgraded to Nero Ultra Edition 6.6.0.16 from the OEM version.
Is there anyway to stop Recode 2 from deleting the temporary files on the HDD when you recode and burn to a DVD automatically. The user guide states it is supposed to do this. I think it's crazy!!! You can't recode and burn to DVD without losing the temporary files. If I'm misunderstanding something please let me know.

    Thanks

That is why it is called a temporary file, if you do not want to lose the file then have it sent to your hard drive first and then go back and open the file and burn it.

From what I hear the autor of DVD Shrink is now working on Recode. DVD Shrink called them temporary files and did not delete them. Shrink usta encode then burn and tell ta you could delete the files if you wanted to, not automatically delete them. The burn after encoding and saving the file usta be automated in shrink , now with Recode you have to save to the harddrive first and then open the file and burn it. Seems it would be a lot better if there was an option to delete after burning like shrink did. Or Have recode save the files then automatically burn and not delete them. IMHO this is a step backward from Shrink. I asked because I thought maybe there was a registry edit or hack so it could be done.

    Thanks for the reply.

Shrink encodes the files and they go to your hard drive. Shrink does no burn, Decrypter burns and it gives you the option of deleting the file. Otherwise the file will remain on your hard drive.

@arniebear - I know DVD Shrink does not burn and just shrinks but it gives you the option to set burning with Nero or DVD Decrypter to DVD automatically after shrinking and saved what it called temporary files. I used the Mero option to burn automatically and after the burning with Nero it showed where the files were saved. If I wanted to delete them I had to go to the folder where the files were saved and delete them myself. Neither shrink or Nero deleted them automatically after burning.

    Thanks again for the reply.
