I got DCR-DVD301 mini DVD Sony. I am trying to use the Adobe Premiere but it doesn’t support the VOB. This camcorder doesn’t have Firewire, only USB and the editing software that is terrible. I tried video and VR recording formats on mini DVD. I tried virtualdub to convert to AVI but it is slow. Any help with this.
    Thanks,
    JPol

    Thanks,
When I convert to AVI some of the video is broken up into smaller fragments. How to avoid that?

If you follow the tutorial, this should not happen.
Anyway, with VirtualDUB you can also merge separate AVI files into one. Open one file and append others; then save as a new file.

We have the Sony DCR-DVD92E DVD Camcorder which records direct to DVD and has no Firewire. I have used NeroVision Express to edit the footage as it allows "Import from DVD". It will let you add transitions etc and create menus and is very easy to use.

I got NeroVision Express with Nero OEM Suite 3. If you don't have a copy, SVP sell it for £8.48 here http://www.blankdiscshop.co.uk/acatalog/sw.html.

    Hope this helps.
