have been using the above now for a year or so, but after the last couple of updates the picture and audio have been going out of sync anybody got any ideas?
I had this problem with files from the Internet *winks* and I found out it was because the sync markers in the files were either corrupted of they were out of sync. The file may play fine on the computer becuase it keeps resyncing it but when encoded to a VCD or DVD it is done linearly (from start to finish) so if the audio some how goes out od sync with the video it will not be synced back up with the video and there by being like a bad kong pow dub. This also works visa versa, if the video stream has a bit error in it and lags then it can also fall out of sync. To fix this problem I guess you could reencode the video with a program lik Virtual Dub or you could just live with it if its just something to be burned onto a DVD-RW and erased later.
Thanx Scott, that's most helpful. I guess the easiest thing for me to do is download another version, hopefully i'll have a bit more luck.
