Problem with my S type controller

    I just bought a brand new Microsoft S Type controller. But theres a problem with it. When I plug in my xbox live headset, it is sort of lose. And I cant change the colour of the LED. I also cant talk to any one. The headset is geting power but the xbox is not reckonising that there is a headset there.

    Any help will be great.
