ok i may be getting wildblue satelitte isp broadband but every one says it will suck online i was wondering if anyone has played xbox online like halo 2 or guild wars for pc i heard its lag more than dial up does anyone know ? it all i can get besides dial up where i live i tryed ever dsl place around we live to far out >.<
Yes you will experience lag and sometimes large lag because what happens is your request for internet has to go from your house to the satilite in space and then sent back to the ISP, and then has to come back to you. and From the time it takes for you to send and receive the packets you have what is called "latency" and that's the same as lag. example, say you press the A button to jump from a grenade, two seconds later, JUMP! lol it's kinda like that, for general speed for Upload and Download i'm not to sure i don't know how bad it would be i think it wouldn't be, the problem is in games cuz of latency as downloads are there and don't change a lot sometimes. thxs for the reply ic ould handle some lag when i pick upa gun and stuff on halo 2 but ive tested xbconnect with dial up and it warps me back all the time i cant really move around itl just send me back is this what u mean will this happen on sattelite? wildblue is what ill be getting
