Hi I'm looking for a little help burning tv episode's to dvd. I've no problem burning films but when I want to burn multiple episode's I'm a little confused! I've downloaded about 4 episode's of mr bean, I've converted them and I can burn them 1 by 1 ok with very good quality but I can't figure out how to put them all on dvd or even two of them on dvd. After I convert I use dvd shrink to open the folder which contains the converted files and then burn through dvd shrink and I think dvd shrink actually uses nero which I have on my pc to burn.

What are you using to convert your movies? Try selecting all 4 files at once when you convert and this may setup the proper DVD files and folders.

You could also use Nero Vision Express. You can add your .vob files and then create menus.

Also, you are correct about Shrink using Nero. Shrink does not have its own burning engine.

Hi, theres one other way i can think of, try using Windows Movie Maker, add all the files, and save, this will save all the files into one video file.

Another way is try find a program where you can add more then one file... I used Intervideo WinDVD Creator 2, but i kept having problems with it so i uninstalled it.

And alos, for JaguarGod, any chance you could help me out with them menus, and before you do, can they make scene selections?? As i have episodes and it would be annoying searching for the right episode without and scenes...

    Hope i helped, and thanks...

Hi, thanks 4 the reply guy's, I'm useing divxtodvd to convert, I don't know if you can select multiple episodes when converting with that, I'll have a proper look at it now. Yeah as far as I know, nero can't burn in it's own right so there for it must use just the basic nero I have installed on my system. I havn't got movie maker and to be quite honest I've heard bad vibes about it, havn't tried it yet so don't know how true they are, but I'd rather stick to the way I've been doing it, that's if there is a way of burning with the way I'm doing it. Thanks again

Hi again, there is a way, i just dont know a decent program to do it... I really need a program just to make simple menus, like the first page, with 'Play/Play All' and 'Scene/Episode Selection' on it... Intervideo WinDVD Creator 2 does it, but i got non end of problems like ive said before.. Can anyone help us out??

I think Roxio Did this, but I do not remember a "play all" option. However, you can play one and it would go through the entire disc.

I will mess around with NVE for a bit and see if creating multiple menus (sub menus) will do the trick.

i have done tv files on to dvd using
    divxtodvd and dvdshrink.

i did four episodes of over*there onto 1 dvd

    1. i used divxtodvd to convert the files
2.then i used the re author option on dvd shrink to
put all the files into one session
3.saved the files to a image
4.burned the image with dvd decrypter.

I'm not that much of a pro yet tekdeck. With divxtodvd can you just convert 1 episode at a time ? I tried useing a trial version of divxtodvd2 and that will let you convert multiple episodes but for some reason I kept getting an error. I downloaded a movie, some of it was on cd1 and the rest on cd2 so I wanted to join them up and also I want multiple episodes of tv series on dvd. Tekdeck could you explain a little more on what way you operate? Do you convert 1 episode at a time ? What way does the re author work on shrink? And instead of burning with decrypter could you just use dvd shrink ? Thanks

    Hello tekdeck,

I had the same idea once, convert each file 1 by 1 by DivxToDVD then use DVD Shrink (Re-Author Mode).

To my big suprise, DVDShrink Re-Author did NOT make 1 title, each files imported were their own title.

Converting multiple files using DivxToDVD will give you the same results.

Each files become it's own title.

So their no real reason to use Re-Author if it's jsut to get a few .AVI to 1 dvd media !

    My 2 cents...

Interesting, are you sure Roxio did this?

Hi all, yes the solution to my problem is as tekdeck said about the re-author mode in shrink. Simply covert your half hour episodes or whatever one by one useing divxtodvd, then open shrink, then hit re-author, navigate to your converted file, select and drag to the screen to the left. Shrink will analyze it for a couple seconds, then do the same again, navigate to the next episode you want on you dvd and so on til you have all the episode's you want on your dvd. Then hit compression settings and get rid of any extra stuff you dont need like subs or whatever. You'll have to do each episode seperately and by doing this you'll get better quality. Then hit backup and that's it, you'll have all your episode's on one dvd. Also you can join films as I did. If you download a film on 2 cd's you can simply join them useing shrink this way.

    hi

you can set dvd shrink to use dvd decrypters burn engine! (options/preferences) or neros burn engine (no need to open and load files yourself to DD)
