I have a DVD I just recieved from a conference I attended and want to make a few dups. I have Nero version 6.6.0.15 and have attempted to use the copy DVD option.

It errors and states that the DVD contains data of aprrox. 7,475MB and the DVD has capacity 4.7G.

I'm totally new to this and want to know if there's something else I need to do or did I buy the wrong DVD's. They are TDK DVD-R and rated 8X.

Also is there any way I can disable the DVD from engaging autorun feature once I insert it into the DVD drive?

    thanks

Hi. The easiest way to disable Autoplay is download TweakUI for XP from www.microsoft.com. Once on MS site go to the download page and it should be listed under XP Power Toys(I'm assuming you have XP but if not there should be Power Toys for whatever flavor of Windows you're running.)

AFA the stuff not fitting on DVD, the source DVD is dual layer DVD9
and a regular DVDR blank is DVD5 single layer. So your blank can only hold 4.7 GB. Just use DVD Shrink. You can find links for download on
AfterDawn and user guides. There's a DVD Shrink Forum too if you get stuck. But it's pretty easy to use. Just set it to output an .iso file and in Nero Burning Rom under the Recorder Menu select Burn Image. Then just select the .iso file you made with DVD Shrink.
