Utility for .OGM/.MKV ?

    Well i use NeroVision Express 3 to do my burning so i have no problems with .avi files and subtitles. However i keep thinking someone has had to of made a utility to speed up the process of converting both .OGM/MKV to .avi. It would not be a problem if it was just one file (Virtual Dub) but 30 in a series is alot of work not to mention other series i have rotting on my hard drive. So im simply asking if there are any utilitys to do this faster/cleaner and if not, why?

    not sure to avi but i think divxtodvd goes mkv to dvd?
