ive correnctly (yes "correctly" ) installed my spided chip after much dilema in getting it to sit right. When i was testing it i held it down on the LPC ports an it booted fine in the cromwell bios. So i went and tried to make it sit straight got it right and now it wont boot. My xbox is fragging and the chip just tries to boot 3 times then stays on while my xbox frags away. i hadnt tried reflashing it in anyway seeing as i only booted it ounce and now its not working. the installation is definately correct and i have a xbox 1.6 and 1.1 spider can anyone please help?
Check your points, and i mean for real that's about the only reason for it to be fragging, and i don't think you can hold your spider chip in place without it getting disconnected while trying to flash it, but that's me. If you have checked you points at least 1 million times (yes that many) and still nothing then try to remove the chip and see what it does, or at least remove the D0 wire and boot up to make sure your xbox is still working. yeah the xbox works fine without the chip in (the 4 hr's playing halo on live just prooved it) so i'll have a fiddle around with the points and if all else fails should i soulder it?
