Will your x-box still work if you take the DVD Drive part thing... from one x-box and connect it to a different x-box? My new modded x-box works fine just the disc reading drive thing sucks and my older one doesnt work but the disc reading drive worked fine..... Would it still work? Even if my new xbox is modded? I dont think it has anything to do with that does it?
well theres only one way to find out, try, you can take the dvd drives out easy as pie and just switch them round and i'd guess they'd be fine
The dvd drive in a xbox is not like the Xbox harddrive in the sense it only works for that one xbox unless it's unlocked, they (thank god) are universal for each xbox and is just plug and play. Have you tried to clean it out? wiped the lens with some alchol? if not it could be just dirty and not going out. Also i didn't really get what this thread was about lol, so if i'm talking out of my a$$ sry lol. Degalle
You were right it worked fine... As far as cleaning the one not working, I am too lazy but will probably get around to it... just to sell the broken x-box on ebay.. dog chewed modchip off the HD so it wont even boot up anymore.. i think just need to re-solder some wires together and should be good but once again, im too damn lazy.
