'Lo. Just wondering if its normal for every single DivX file to have out of synch audio? I download quite a few and try to split them with VirtualDub, but I ALWAYS get the out of synch message. I don't really mind, I know how to sort it by decompressing the audio etc, I was just wondering if its normal or perhaps I'm missing something? Go easy on me, I'm new to all this technology lark... Cheers.
You mean that they are actually out of sync or just that they use vbr mp3 audio? You might want to try VirtualDubMod instead of regular VDub. As for normal. Pretty common for XviD avi's to use VBR mp3 audio. No idea about .divx files.
Hmm not really sure to be honest with you, they aren't out of sync until I open them up with VirtualDub and try to split them. I've downloaded VirtualDubMod but I still get the same error message about out of sync audio. As I said, not really a problem but was just wondering if something was wrong. Cheers for the reply.
The message in VDubMod should be different. It asks whether you want to keep the VBR header or not. VDub on the other hand does not give you a choice.
Nandub works with AVIs that have VBR MP3 or AC3 audio. It can be found within the GordianKnot rippack :^) Howzit going, _d? L8R
