I keep getting "failed to load the map" erorrs in Halo 2, and often i will be disconnected from any xbox live game, 'cos the laser will skip on the disc or something. Some people have recommended buying the Blazer DVD Laser Lens cleaner for $12.99, others say i should just buy a new DVD drive or a whole new Xbox. My Xbox is really old, bought it on launch day, so i think i may have one of those crappy Thompson drives. My question to all of you is, should i buy the laser cleaning kit, or buy a Phillips, or Samsung dvd drive?
Buy a new drive! dvdrom drive problems on the 1.0 xbox's are very common(they're just not very good drives).
