sound problem with mp3

    the sound comes only on my left speaker and nothing comes through the right when i put a mp3 on but when i watch avi's mpg or other formats the sound comes through both speakers

    Not really much info there, but left only sound is MONO in order to get right speaker sound it needs to be STEREO. So either its mono only mp3s' (not likely) or somewhere in your players setting its set to play mp3s in mono.

    Try playing your mp3s in a different player (i like winamp) and see if it works properly. That way you'll know if its the mp3s fault or the players.

    I've read that Cool Edit can paste the 'mono' file into both R and L channels of another file. Never tested though...
    It is used to create WAV file (and mpegs) from a rippped 'Karaoke' movie (which have a 'music' channel and a 'words + music' on the other channel. With it you create a WAV with word+music. Read http://www.videohelp.com/forum/userguides/78196.php).
