It lets me burn audio, but if I only burn say 4 tracks, then later try to burn more on the cd-r it tells me it's read only and wont let me,but these still loads of room left on the cd-r

Try another software (exact audio copy for instance). If this does not work, contact the *audio* forum.
You better explain the Nero version you use, your system, your burner and so on..

Yes did try, told me there was no space left on cd,when there was.

Let you know that Nero will let me carry on burning on cd-r's,of which is data or images.
I cant understand why not audio.

Wait! Maybe this because you try to make a multisession audio CD. But you cannot write multisession audio, only data multisession is allowed.

So when you burn the first 4 tracks the burner closes the CD, therefore preventing any subsequent burning.

Might this be the case? Please note that you can check if the media is closed from 'Medium Info' in Nero View menu.

    1st CD to CD
2nd Drag from folder to CD
I can burn 1 Or more tracks but once it's done
thats it,say 1hr later I want to put one more track on the CD it wont let me.(just tells me it's read only disk)

No you cannot add audio tracks once a CD has been written, certainly not in Nero. I am not aware of any programme that will do this. (I'm sure if there is somebody will post). If there is one then the possibilty is there that you may be able to add tracks to commercially available CD's

You cannot add audio files after you burn audio. This because CD standard allows only one audio session, and after the last audio track has been burned the session is closed.

If the disc is left open (and not finalyzed) I assume you can add a one or more sessions (with Data tracks). But you cannot add more audio, I'm sorry.

This is a consequence of the old CD Audio specification (back to 1991, when CD-ROM did not exist), that defines Audio in the first session only of a CD.
