Hi, I have two qestions in relation to divx. 1 is that when I capture movies with divx video compression using my all in wonder radeon 7500 I get these weird horizontal lines in some areas. There are usually several of them and they are bizzar in color. Was wondering what the cause of that was. Second is that I can record about 20 minutes of movie in divx using relatively little hard drive space. However, the files are still bigger than divx movies and anime I download. They are the same resolution ang length(time wise) and are obviously both using divx video compression. Any why I get those lines and why my files are bigger?

    Thanks for any help

Do you compress the audio? If not, this could be the reason why you're getting bigger files. In fact, the audio part of the file is BIGGER than the video part if you don't compress it.

I had those weird horizontal lines myself and at least part of the problem was that somehow colour setting had changed to 16. Also I have other compounding problem as well in one of my hard drives (maybe Kazaa?)which makes video/colour levels "choppy". I hope this will help
