Can I copy any DVD with DVDXCOPY? I am getting a message that says, "this movie is CSS Encrypted...this version of DVDXCOPY cannot copy this movie...would you like more information on CSS Encryption?" then I can click on yes or no. Yes links to the internet and no cancels the operation. Version 4.0.3.8. I thought we could copy any DVD, as I have some personal ones that are irreplaceable and I would like to save them from damage. I'd appreciate any information you have.Does this have anything to do with installation?

Are there any reasons why you have to use DVDXCOPY?

There are a multitude of free programs that can do this, one is DVD Shrink 3.2 .

Check out the guides section at the top of this page for alot of "How To" guides in using various programs.

Here is 1 I personally wrote using DVD Decrypter and DVD Shrink (both free programs): http://forum.digital-digest.com/showthread.php?s=&threadid=45238

Here is another a good friend made on just DVD Shrink: http://forum.digital-digest.com/showthread.php?s=&threadid=49051
