    HI

can someone tell me what the best settings for my RAM fsb would be:

System 2800+ barton core with locked multiplier
standard fsb is 166 *2 to give 333mhz
    i have pc3200 ram i.e 400mhz
    Motherboard is gigabyte 7series pro2

if i overclock the system to say 175fsb is it best to run the RAM at 100% of the fsb i.e. 350mhz so there is a 1:1 ratio between the cpu and the RAM or should i set the bios RAM speed multiplier to say 120% to get 420mhz? In other words is it best to run the ram as fast as possible or should i be trying to match the speed to that of the cpu.

    cheers

Depending on you ram you should be able to get 420mhz, just tried it with my set up & it works Abit NF7-S v2 & 2800 barton: cpu 175 fsb & mem 422 fsb using Geil pc3200 ddr400 ...... you can try to go higher & if it don't boot just reset the bios .....i normally run my set up @ 2.4g with a 1:1 cpu/ram fsb of 191, can do a 200fsb but i find it performs better @ 191 for some strange reason... gonna try some benchmarks with it like this ......
