    I am rather new to DVD back ups and making my own home made DVD's. Since I started backing up my daughters DVD's (so I do not have to buy new ones every time she scratches one)using Clone DVD, I have had no problems. I am using DVD-R's. Every one play in all of my dvd players.

    Now I downloaded movies from my Camera and using Sonic My DVD LE I created a home made DVD of my daughters birthday party. I used the same blanks but the DVD will only play in half of my DVD players.

    Can anyone tell me what could be wrong?

    Even though the media is the same, it could be bad media which will produce unreliable burns. Check the media code using DVD Decrypter.

    @dv8nxlr8,

    It seems like a media issue to me. What kind of DVD-R are you using to do your back up? What are the speeds when you backed up?
