Hi, I tried to back up my DVD with DVD Shrink (version 3.2) but it couldn't do it because of this : "DVD Shrink encountered an error and cannot continue, Failed to read file "E:\" Data error (cyclic redundancy check). According to some guides, the solution of this type of error is that you have to clean your DVD and make it look clean, good. I tried it, but still DVD Shrink poped up this type of error. Ok, I read some more guides and tried to rip the DVD by DVD Decrypter (version 3.5.4.0). I ripped out all files (FILE mode) in certain folder. I carefully selected "all files" mode. After all, I tried to OPEN FILES with DVD Shrink and it popped up this : "DVD Shrink encountered an error and cannot continue. Invalid data in file "C:\DVDVOLUME\VIDEO_TS\VTS_01_1.VOB" I tried to open files so many times but still it didn't work. Dont know why. Oh, I have a log from DVD Decrypter and here it is: I 01:08:02 DVD Decrypter Version 3.5.4.0 started! hello cukhoa what error message did decrypter give you here > E 01:08:04 CreateFile Failed! - Device: '\\.\Cdrom0' E 01:08:04 Reason: The request was aborted. looks suspicious I cannot guess what makes this happen as I have never experienced this did you select to not do something decrypter suggested?? I would try decrypter again and allow it to run it's chosen course
have you had any troubles with the drive previously? if the disk isn't dirty/scratched and your drive is functioning properly, then it appears as though you have a bad disk.
Thanks guys for all your effor to help but i solved this problem already. My drive is a brand new one. I decrypted that DVD by using ISO Write. Then i opened up DVD Shrink to back up using Re Author mode . Anyway, I've overcome that problem. Thanks again.
