Thanks so much for the reply!

I'm sorry, I'm really new to this so are you saying that I need to update my firmware at that site? If I go there, I should just click on the newest one? Do I need to update the actual software too or is that the same thing? How do I change the burning to 4x? (boy do I feel dumb lol).

I'm burning 23 AVI files from my hard drive. Not sure why it looks like it's nothing. hmmmm.

    Thanks!

    in addition to Bigfatboy's reply...

    - EDIT OUT your serial number from the logfile post, it's probably been stolen by now

    - your Nerovision is out of date, 3.1.0.16 is here - " http://www.nero.com/en/nero-up.php "
You can download Update-Package 1 & 2, then you'll have latest Burning Rom & Nerovision

    - not sure if this is addressed in those updates. try this (transcoding patch) here - http://www.nero.com/eng/Patch_for_NVE3.html

    - the firmware seems to be recognising the Ritek disc in that 2nd paragraph, but that 1st paragraph looks wrong in the 2nd line. Hopefully the firmware update will help. If not, try different media as per Bigfatboy. Sony drives, (ie rebadged Lite-on drives) love Verbatim media

Thanks so much Bigfatboy and creaky! Thanks to both of you, I can now burn! However, now I have another problem. When I watched the dvd back, I noticed that some of the files are stuttering. Is there any way to fix that?

    Thanks bunches!

    mo worries.

yup, skipping/freezing is usually due to too high a burn speed and/or less than perfect quality media. oh and it can be due to burning to very outer edge of discs, as that's where the dye can be less evenly 'spread' or applied to the disc (or whatever the correct phrase is)
